Are you excited for the retreat?! Before you make your initial payment to Elizabeth Grace Ann Dunbar LLC doing business as (DBA) Thriving Feminine and sign the agreement, please read and understand this Retreat Agreement. The purpose of this Agreement is to communicate our mutual expectations for the retreat. This retreat is non-refundable and cannot be cancelled under any circumstances so please ask any questions you have before signing.

Definitions

  • Agreement: The entire Retreat agreement between Elizabeth Grace Ann Dunbar LLC doing business as (DBA) Thriving Feminine and you the Guest
  • Approved Transferee: The person that is approved by the Retreat Organizer that a former Guest transfers their booking to.
  • Guest: Person attending the retreat, the undersigned (electronically or by hand) or person who has clicked “I Agree” (or something similar) to this Agreement ("Guest", "Guests", “you” and “your”). Where guest is stated as Guests (plural) it is understood to mean that the person signing this agreement has agreed to their personal responsibility for a particular clause and this entire Agreement.
  • Organizer: Elizabeth Grace Ann Dunbar LLC DBA Thriving Feminine, and its owners, members, managers, employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives ("Organizer", "me", "we")
  • Parties: This Agreement is made between Elizabeth Grace Ann Dunbar LLC DBA Thriving Feminine operating in the Commonwealth of Virginia and you the Guest, the person attending the retreat, the undersigned (electronically or by hand) or person who has clicked “I Agree” (or something similar) to this Agreement ("Guest", "Guests", “you” and “your”).
  • Term: March 6 - 13, 2027
  • Retreat: The Thriving Feminine Retreat Bali 2027
  • ​​​​​​​Retreat Country: The country or countries where the Retreat takes place
  • Venue: Where the retreat will take place (the Soulshine Bali Resort)
  • WeTravel: Trusted third-party partner platform providing retreat and travel management services

Age Requirement

All Guests of the Thriving Feminine Retreat must be over 18 years of age.

Travel and Retreat Management

As noted above, this is a service provided by the WeTravel platform. Your use of this third-party platform is governed by the WeTravel terms of service. You may set-up a contribution page to assist you with raising funds for the retreat and related travel. Using WeTravel allows you to create a payment plan at no additional charge. WeTravel will automatically send reminder emails to the participants:
  • 7 days before the due date
  • 3 days before the due date
  • On the day of the due date

You will receive a late notice 2 days after the due date. Installments not received by the due date may be due on the next payment date along with the next payment amount and any related late fees as required by WeTravel.

You may change the payment due dates through WeTravel at least 72 hours before applicable due date by contacting retreats@thrivingfeminine.com This may be done up to 2 times prior to the Retreat. You may make additional payments at any time regardless of any payment plan.

Your use of the WeTravel payment is subject to the terms of this agreement, including our no refund and cancellation policies. If you have any questions regarding your use of WeTravel you may contact retreats@thrivingfeminine.com.

Assumption of Risk

The Guest agrees and understands that their participation in the retreat involves risk. These risks may lead to tangible or intangible harm. The Guest accepts all risks to their health and of their injury or death that may result from participating in the Retreat. Guest hereby releases Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives from any and all liability to the Guest, the Guest's personal representatives, estate, heirs, next of kin, and assigns for any and all claims and causes of action for loss of damage to guest property and for any and all illness or injury to the Guest, including their death, that may result from or occur during Guest participation in the Retreat, whether caused by the ordinary negligence of the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives or otherwise, excluding only liability arising from the Organizer's gross negligence or willful misconduct.

General Indemnity

The Guest releases, indemnifies, and holds harmless the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, suits, actions, causes of action, damages, losses, fees, costs and expenses that an Indemnified Party may sustain, incur or suffer at any time, either during or after the Term, which are based upon, arise out of, or occur, directly or indirectly, by reason of any act or omission by the Guest in participating in the Retreat.

The ​​​​​​​Guest releases, indemnifies, and holds harmless the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives from liability for the injury or death of any person(s) and damage to property that may result from Guest negligence or intentional act or omission while attending and participating in the Retreat. Except in the case of the Organizer's gross negligence or willful misconduct, the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, or representatives shall not be held liable for Guest injury or death or any loss or damage of Guest personal belongings, any Venue, hotel or travel incidentals, including any damages, resulting from Guest participation in the Retreat.​​​​​​​

Travel Insurance & Medical Coverage

Guests are required to secure travel insurance as early as possible for the Retreat as payments for the Retreat are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled under any circumstances. All guests are strongly encouraged to ensure that their travel insurance contains a minimum of trip cancellation insurance, trip interruption insurance, and medical coverage but should do their due diligence to make sure their coverage meets all their needs. Guests are responsible for researching and securing travel insurance on their own, should be aware of what their insurance covers, and should know how to contact the 24hr help line for their insurance before, during, and after the Retreat. Neither the Organizer nor the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, or representatives will be responsible or liable for any losses, medical expenses, or consequences of the Guest's lack of adequate insurance coverage.​​​​​​​

Medical Emergencies, Conditions & Treatment

Should the Guest require emergency medical treatment as a result of accident or illness arising during Guest attendance and participation in the Retreat, Guest consents to emergency medical treatment. Guest acknowledges and agrees to be financially responsible for any medical or legal bills that may be incurred as a result of emergency medical treatment. The Guest will notify the Organizer verbally and in writing if the Guest is injured at any time prior to, during, or after the Retreat in their travels or attendance, or if the Guest has medical conditions about which emergency medical personnel should be informed. However, the Guest understands that the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives are not legally obligated to act on that information in any way or to provide any medical service whatsoever to the Guest. The Guest will make the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives aware of any pre-existing medical conditions, food allergies, or specific medications the Guest is taking. If the Guest does not make the Organizer aware of these prior to the Retreat, the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives will not be held responsible or liable for any health issues that arise from possible contraindications. The Guest will make the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives aware of any pre-existing medical conditions, food allergies, or specific medications the Guest is taking. If the Guest does not make the Organizer aware of these prior to the Retreat, the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives will not be held responsible or liable for any health issues that arise from possible contraindications.

Transportation Disclaimer

The Guest understands, accepts, and agrees that transportation used before, during, or after the Retreat, whether arranged, recommended, coordinated, included, or otherwise made available in connection with the Retreat, may include cars, shuttles, scooters, motorcycles, vans, taxis, rideshares, boats, or other forms of transportation operated by third parties. The Guest understands, accepts, and agrees that such transportation providers are independent contractors and are not the Organizer or the Organizer’s employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, representatives, or contractors. Neither the Organizer nor the Organizer’s employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, representatives, or contractors is responsible or liable for any accident, collision, crash, rollover, delay, breakdown, mechanical failure, traffic incident, injury, death, loss, damage, cost, or expense arising out of or related to the Guest’s use of, presence in, boarding of, disembarking from, or reliance upon any such transportation. The Guest voluntarily assumes all risks associated with any such transportation and agrees that any use of scooters, motorcycles, or similar vehicles is undertaken entirely at the Guest’s own risk.

Accessibility of Medication

Guests are responsible for bringing prescription and over-the-counter medication on the Retreat that they need to maintain their physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing. Guests understand that in the Retreat Country/Countries not all medication that the Guest needs may be available by prescription and/or over-the-counter. Guests understand, accept, and agree that they are responsible for researching their medication to confirm if it is accessible in the Retreat Country/Countries. Guests will be fully responsible for any and all consequences of not being able to access necessary medications in the Retreat Country/Countries. Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives are not responsible or liable for any consequences the guest incurs from not being able to access necessary medications in the Retreat Country/Countries.

Medication & Illegal Substance Categorization

Guests are responsible for bringing prescription and over-the-counter medication that they need to maintain their physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing on the Retreat. Guests understand that in the Retreat Country/Countries the definition of illegal substances or illegal narcotics may include medications that may be legal or standard in Guest's home country. Guests found in possession of such illegal substances, medications, and/or narcotics in the retreat country/countries may be subject to penalties which may include fines, incarceration, death, etc. Guests understand, accept, and agree that they are responsible for researching their medication to confirm if it is legal and accessible in the Retreat country. Guests are discouraged from bringing illegal prescriptions and over-the-counter medication to the Retreat Country/Countries. Guests will be fully responsible for any and all consequences of bringing illegal medications into the Retreat Country/Countries. Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives are not responsible or liable for any consequences the Guest incurs from bringing illegal medications to the Retreat or into the Retreat Country/Countries.

Alcohol, Substance Use, Personal Choices

Guests are prohibited from bringing illegal substances to the Retreat and strongly discouraged from bringing illegal substances to the Retreat Country/Countries.

​​​​​​​Guests understand that some substances that are legal in Guest's home country may be illegal in the Retreat Country/Countries and may carry penalties including fines, incarceration, death, etc. Guests will be fully responsible and liable for the consequences of bringing illegal substances to the Retreat Country/Countries and the Retreat. The Organizer is not responsible or liable for any consequences the Guest incurs from bringing illegal substances into the Retreat Country or the Retreat.

Guests are solely responsible and liable for their decisions, behavior or consumption of substances and any injuries, and tangible and intangible harm that results. The Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives are not responsible or liable for any injuries or tangible and intangible harm resulting from intoxication or impaired judgment.
​​​​​​​Guests are strongly discouraged from being intoxicated in workshop, teaching, and embodiment sessions as these sessions require embodied presence to fully benefit from the experience and Guest intoxication may become disruptive to other Guests.

Travel Booking & Documentation

Guests are responsible for booking and paying for flights and/or travel to and from the Retreat and ensuring that they will be permitted to enter the country for the Retreat. Guests are responsible for researching, obtaining, and maintaining up-to-date and valid travel documentation, such as passports, and any required and applicable travel visas, immunizations and associated documentation, or other required documentation for the Retreat and locations visited. Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives are not responsible or liable for guests being denied entry into or exit from any locations or country for any reason including insufficient, invalid, or incomplete documentation. If Guests miss part or all of the retreat due to travel documentation or legal issues they are not entitled to a refund. Please note, many countries require travelers to have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months after the date of travel for visas and to allow entry into the country.

Laws

Guest must follow all applicable international, national, regional, and local laws while on the Retreat.

Payment & Cancellation

Refunds & Cancellations, Reservation Transfers

The Thriving Feminine Retreat package reservation and payments are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled under any circumstances.

By booking the Retreat, making the initial payment, signing the Agreement, participating in the retreat the Guest confirms that they have read, understand, agree with, and accept all terms & conditions associated with the Retreat set forth in this Agreement and initiates a binding agreement.

By booking the retreat, making the initial payment, and/or signing the Agreement the Guest also:

  • Reserves their spot on the retreat
  • Agrees that Retreat payments are non-refundable
  • Agrees that the Guest is responsible for fulfilling all payments associated with Guest's reservation package prior to arriving at the retreat
  • If the Guest cannot attend the retreat, the Guest agrees that their purchase can only be transferred to another person if:
    • The Guest finds a prospective guest to transfer the booking to (transferee) on their own that is approved by the Retreat Organizer
    • Approved Transferee accepts the terms of the Agreement and signs the Agreement
    • The Guest charges the Approved Transferee the same or less than what Guest paid for the retreat and work out the details of any payments between the Guest and the Approved Transferee privately
    • The Guest or the Approved Transferee continue to make payments to the Retreat Organizer according to the payment schedule and terms & conditions without interruption

If for any reason the Guest is no longer able to attend the Retreat please find an Approved Transferee or consult your travel insurance as we are unable to refund packages under any circumstance.

Please Note: This clause applies whether the Guest books, pays, and/or signs for the Retreat themselves or a representative for the Guest books, pays or signs on their behalf.​​​​​​​​

Force Majeure

For the purposes of this Agreement, a "Force Majeure Event” means any event or circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the affected party that prevents or substantially hinders the performance of its obligations under this Agreement, including but not limited to acts of God (such as fire, flood, earthquake, or hurricane) war, civil unrest, terrorism or threats thereof, government-imposed restrictions or travel bans, pandemics, epidemics, labor strikes, failure of transportation systems, etc.

In the event a Force Majeure Event makes it illegal, unsafe, or impossible for Organizer and/or Venue to host the Retreat as scheduled, Organizer shall notify the Guest as soon as practicable. The Organizer agrees that all packages cancelled due to a Force Majeure Event will be transferred to a new date and/or location. The Organizer will use reasonable efforts to reschedule the Retreat within twelve (12) months of the original Retreat dates; provided, however, that if the Force Majeure Event or its effects continue beyond that period, the Organizer may extend the rescheduling timeline as reasonably necessary until circumstances permit the Retreat to be held. The Organizer is not responsible or liable for issuing refunds to the Guest under any circumstance. The Guest is highly recommended to research and obtain travel insurance that contains trip cancellation and interruption coverage that includes but is not limited to the events and circumstances listed above.

Retreat Cancellation Due to Unavoidable Circumstances

If Organizer injury or illness, Venue closure, or other unavoidable event or circumstance means that the retreat has to be cancelled, all packages will be transferred to a new date and/or location. The Organizer will use reasonable efforts to reschedule the Retreat within twelve (12) months of the original Retreat dates; provided, however, that if the Organizer's injury, illness, or the underlying circumstance continues beyond that period, the Organizer may extend the rescheduling timeline as reasonably necessary until circumstances permit the Retreat to be held. In the event of the Organizer's death or permanent incapacitation that renders rescheduling impossible, Guests shall be entitled to a refund of amounts paid, less any non-recoverable costs already incurred by the Organizer on the Guest's behalf. The Organizer is not otherwise responsible or liable for issuing refunds to the Guest. The Guest is highly recommended to research and obtain travel insurance that contains trip cancellation and interruption coverage that includes but is not limited to the events and circumstances listed above.

Bookings and Payment

Bookings and payments for the Thriving Feminine Retreat will be processed through WeTravel or Stripe.

Retreat Packages

All package costs are listed per person and are determined by the type of accommodation Guests book. The cost to reserve Guest accommodation for the retreat includes the cost of the Aetreat.

  • Accommodation at Soulshine Bali for the duration of the retreat
  • Daily breakfast & dinner
  • Classes and embodiment experiences
  • Water temple visit
  • Balinese cultural evening
  • Balinese New Year celebrations
  • Whole group excursions
  • Roundtrip Airport transfer between I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) and the Soulshine Bali resort ONLY
  • A spa experience (to be defined at a later date)
  • and some surprises

The retreat does not include:
  • Flights to and from Bali
  • Visa costs
  • Immunizations and medication 
  • Travel & Health Insurance
  • Daily lunches
  • Beverages (including alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, juices, tea and coffee, etc.)
  • Optional excursions and activities
  • Personal purchases (souvenirs, shopping, personal expenses)
  • Additional à la carte experiences at the resort or off property

Inner Circle VIP Upgrade

The Organizer may offer an optional “Inner Circle VIP” upgrade as an add-on to the Retreat. The Inner Circle VIP upgrade is available only to Guests with an active Retreat booking and may not be purchased on a standalone basis. If a Guest’s Retreat booking is cancelled, forfeited, transferred, or otherwise ceases to remain active for any reason, the Guest’s eligibility for the Inner Circle VIP upgrade and any associated benefits may also be cancelled or terminated by the Organizer without refund except as otherwise required by applicable law.

If purchased or granted by the Organizer, the Inner Circle VIP upgrade includes the following additional benefits, subject to availability and change:
  • one private VIP-only event in Bali (details to be determined by the Organizer);
  • two private one-on-one coaching calls with Elizabeth, each up to sixty (60) minutes in duration, to be scheduled and used within twelve (12) months of booking (the Guest must provide at least twenty-four (24) hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a coaching call; failure to appear for a scheduled call or cancellation with less than twenty-four (24) hours' notice shall count as a used call unless the Organizer agrees otherwise in writing);
  • monthly exclusive VIP group calls from July 2026 through May 2027, which may include coaching, teaching, training, or other similar session formats as determined by the Organizer;
  • and a one-time Five Hundred Dollar ($500) credit toward other Thriving Feminine offerings, to be used within twelve (12) months of booking.

The Guest understands, accepts, and agrees that the Five Hundred Dollar ($500) credit is valid only toward eligible non-retreat Thriving Feminine offerings designated by the Organizer, including certain programs, one-on-one coaching, and/or group coaching offerings, and may not be applied toward the Retreat, any other retreat, or any offering excluded by the Organizer.
The credit has no cash value, is non-refundable, may not be redeemed for cash, may not be split into multiple promotional credits, and may not be transferred, sold, or assigned without the Organizer's prior written consent.

The Organizer may, in the Organizer's sole discretion, offer complimentary Inner Circle VIP upgrades to the first eight (8) Guests who sign up, subject to the Organizer's determination of eligibility and completion of booking requirements. The Organizer reserves the right to determine the order of qualifying sign-ups, to verify eligibility, and to modify, withdraw, or discontinue such promotional offer at any time prior to confirmation of the applicable complimentary upgrade.

The Guest understands, accepts, and agrees that any Inner Circle VIP benefits, including calls, sessions, event details, dates, formats, teachers, content, and scheduling, are subject to reasonable change by the Organizer. If the Guest does not schedule or use any included one-on-one call, credit, or other Inner Circle VIP benefit within the stated use period, such unused benefit shall expire automatically without refund, credit, or extension unless the Organizer agrees otherwise in writing.

Except as expressly stated by the Organizer in writing, the Inner Circle VIP upgrade and all associated benefits are non-refundable and non-transferable. monthly exclusive VIP group calls from July 2026 through May 2027, which may include coaching, teaching, training, Q&A, or other similar session formats as determined by the Organizer; and a one-time Five Hundred Dollar ($500) credit toward other Thriving Feminine offerings, to be used within twelve (12) months of booking.

Payment Plans

Payment plans are available for the Retreat. Please note, all payment plans are set to end in February 2027 and must be paid in full by February 28, 2027 at the latest. Payment plan terms will be outlined by WeTravel at the time of checkout and reiterated by confirmation email. The Guest understands, accepts, and agrees that the earlier Guests register for the retreat, the more flexible the payment plans that will be available.

Processing Fees

WeTravel accepts multi-currency pricing. Processing fees depend on the currency the Guest pays in.

Retreat payments are subject to the following WeTravel processing fees:

  • $0 ACH (US)
  • $25 per wire transfer
  • 2.9% US Visa & Mastercard credit cards
  • 3.9% US American Express credit cards
  • Up to 3.9% credit cards from other countries (you will see the percentage for your company and credit card at checkout)

Late Payment & Fees

Guest understands, accepts, and agrees that if a payment is 7 days late, the package is subject to a $50 admin fee. Should a payment be more than 14 days late, the Organizer has the right to cancel the package, and any prior payments made by the Guest shall be non-refundable.​​​​​​​

Disputes & Disputed Charge Fee

Even though Guest has purchased the Retreat from Elizabeth Grace Ann Dunbar LLC, doing business as Thriving Feminine, credit card, wire, and bank charges may show up as "Elizabeth Dunbar Thriving Feminine", "Elizabeth Grace Ann Dunbar LLC", "Thriving Feminine", 'WeTravel', or a variation thereof. Please do not dispute any agreed upon charges associated with this retreat. Instead, reach out to retreats@thrivingfeminine.com to check payments, payment history, and billing.

​​​​​​​As no cancellations or refunds are possible for this retreat, Guest understands, accepts, and agrees that any disputed charges or actions that go against Payment Terms & Conditions will be charged a $250 admin fee, even if the dispute is withdrawn.
Disputes will be handled through WeTravel and are generally resolved within 2-3 months from the time that WeTravel submits evidence to a bank or credit card company. This is the case even if the participant has withdrawn the dispute in the meantime. Banks are permitted 3 months from the date of evidence submission to reach a resolution (see this article by the US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau).

Roommate Policy

Guests who book a shared / double occupancy room will be assigned a roommate unless you specify who you would like to stay with. If you have a preferred roommate in mind, you will need to submit their full name in writing at the time of booking (there is a question when you purchase a package) or by emailing retreats@thrivingfeminine.com. They would also need to submit your name and purchase the same room type that you reserved for a guaranteed pairing.

All other roommates will be paired by the Retreat Organizer. The Retreat Organizer will attempt to match roommates based on their preferences, energy, and how they want to experience the Retreat but it is possible that not all pairings will be the perfect fit. Any roommate disagreements or disputes should be handled between roommates. Elizabeth Grace Ann Dunbar LLC DBA Thriving Feminine and its representatives will not step in to manage roommate conflicts or disputes. ​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​Any Guests that are concerned about being paired with a roommate have the opportunity to book a solo / single occupancy room while availability lasts.

Confidentiality of Guest Personal Information

The Guest understands, accepts, and agrees that during the Retreat they may learn personal, sensitive, or personally identifying information (PII) about other Guests (“Personal Information”). Guests and all retreat participants should be aware that there is a reasonable expectation of privacy concerning all PII and personal information shared for the purposes of this retreat which they should regard as confidential.
The Guest agrees to keep such Personal Information strictly confidential and not to disclose, share, post, publish, record, or communicate it to any third party without the prior express written consent of the applicable Guest.

The Guest may share their own general lessons, insights, reflections, or takeaways from the Retreat so long as they do not include any identifying or reasonably identifying information of another Guest. The Guest further agrees not to photograph, record, screenshot, film, or otherwise capture another Guest or their words, likeness, or Personal Information for use outside of the Retreat in any manner that would identify them without that Guest’s prior express consent. Any breach of this confidentiality expectation may be treated as a violation of the Guest Code of Conduct, and Organizer reserves the right to remove the Guest from the Retreat and/or prohibit the Guest from attending future retreats or events, without refund.​​​​​​​

Guest Agency

The Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives encourage Guests to claim their agency on this retreat. The Guest will take radical responsibility for traveling to and from the retreat, their participation in the retreat, and outcomes they experience. This means the Guest is solely responsible for creating their own experience, caring for their own physical, mental and emotional well-being, making choices and decisions, and taking actions. The Guest is also responsible for the results the Guest receives from implementing or not implementing the guidance provided by the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives. As such, the Guest agrees that Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives are not and will not be liable or responsible for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided by Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives. As such, the Guest agrees that Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives are not and will not be liable or responsible for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided by Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives. As such, the guest agrees that Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives are not and will not be liable or responsible for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, and representatives.

No Guarantees

The Guest understands that while the Organizer will try to ensure Guests have a wonderful Retreat experience, the Organizer makes no guarantees, representations, or warranties that the Retreat will proceed exactly as planned, that any particular activities, teachers, sessions, excursions, amenities, accommodations, schedules, locations, or experiences will be available as anticipated, or that the Guest will achieve any particular outcome, result, transformation, benefit, or experience from participating in the Retreat, as all such results and experiences are subjective and may vary.

Independent Contractor Disclaimer

The Guest understands, accepts and agrees that some portions of the Retreat will be conducted by independent contractors including but not limited to drivers, transportation providers, tour guides, photographers, videographers, teachers, facilitators, etc. The Guest understands, accepts and agrees that independent contractors are not the Organizer or the Organizer's employees, officers, interns, agents, or representatives. Neither the Organizer nor the Organizer's employees, officers, interns, agents, or representatives is responsible or liable for any agreement between Guest and independent contractor. Neither the Organizer nor the Organizer's employees, officers, interns, agents, or representatives is responsible or liable for the fees, costs, expenses, losses, claims, and/or damages incurred to the Guest or the tangible harm, intangible harm, or injury to the guest, and/or the death of Guest caused by actions, inactions, or negligence of independent contractors.

Undue Reliance

The Guest acknowledges that guidance provided by Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, representatives, and sponsors shall involve different areas of their life, including work, finances, health, relationships, education, recreation, etc. in which they share their professional knowledge. The Guest understands that such guidance does not constitute medical, legal, financial, mental health, or other professional advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice, diagnosis, treatment, or services from qualified licensed professionals. The Guest agrees to seek independent guidance as needed from qualified professionals based on the Guest’s personal situation.

Guest Teacher Disclaimer

The Guest understands, accepts, and agrees that any guest teacher, facilitator, or practitioner participating in the Retreat is an independent contractor operating on their own behalf and not as an employee, agent, partner, or representative of the Organizer. Each such guest teacher is solely responsible for their own services, acts, omissions, statements, conduct, and interactions with Guests and is required to maintain their own liability insurance. The Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, representatives, and contractors are not responsible or liable for any claim, injury, loss, damage, cost, or expense arising out of or related to any act, omission, service, guidance, treatment, communication, or interaction involving any guest teacher.

Emotional & Mental Health Acknowledgement

Some retreat experiences or sessions may bring up emotions, memories, psychological responses, or physical reactions. Guest acknowledges that transformation modalities can produce intense emotional shifts and agree to:

  • Participate at their own pace
  • Communicate with facilitators if they feel overwhelmed
  • Ask for support if and when needed
  • Seek professional mental health support independently if needed

Mental Health Disclaimer

The Guest acknowledges that while guidance provided by Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, representatives, and contractors can pair well with some therapy and/or mental health care, this guidance is not therapy and/or mental health care, is not a substitute for therapy and/or mental health care, and is not proven to prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease.

The guidance provided by Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, representatives, and contractors does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders as defined by the American Psychiatric Association and that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychiatry, psychoanalysis, mental health care, substance abuse or medical treatment. It is the guest's exclusive responsibility to
seek independent guidance as needed from qualified professionals.

​​​​​​​If the Guest is currently under the care of a mental health professional, it is recommended that the Guest promptly inform the mental health care provider of the nature and extent of the retreat to determine if this is a good fit.

Guest Code of Conduct

By booking and attending the Retreat, you agree to honor and uphold these fundamental principles:
​​​​​​​

  • Respect for All: You pledge to respect fellow Guests, other resort guests, resort staff, guides, locals, and the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, representatives, and contractors regardless of their race, ethnicity, beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other aspect of their identity.
  • Zero Tolerance for Discrimination: There is no room for discrimination, sexism, racism, or any form of prejudice on our retreats. This includes both explicit actions and microaggressions. We strive for an environment where everyone feels valued.
  • Zero Tolerance for Violence: There is a zero-tolerance policy for physical violence or threats of physical violence against fellow Guests, other resort guests, resort staff, guides, locals, and the Organizer, Organizers employees, partners, interns, agents, authorized representatives, and contractors.
  • Consequences for Violations: Organizer reserves the right to remove any Guest from the Retreat and the Resort Venue at any point, without a refund, should they breach the code of conduct. The Guest may also be banned from attending any future Organizer Retreats and events.

Venue Policies

The Guest agrees to adhere to the following Soulshine Bali policies:

  • Keep noise levels down after 10pm and before 7am
  • Smoking is prohibited in the rooms, inside buildings, and the classrooms / shalas / yoga studios
  • Use of illegal drugs is prohibited
  • Durian fruit is not allowed on the resort property
  • Pets are not allowed on the resort property
  • Guests must honor Balinese culture by walking carefully to avoid stepping on offerings
  • Guests must honor Balinese culture by dressing appropriately and behaving respectfully when visiting temples.
  • Balinese culture dictates that you must avoid visiting temples if you are bleeding in any way (including if you are menstruating)
  • Respect personal space and avoid touching other people’s heads
  • Be mindful of electricity, energy, and water usage
  • Inform staff immediately if feeling unwell or if you notice any safety hazards
  • Always conduct cash transactions in Indonesian currency (most transactions on Soulshine property will be electronic but please keep this in mind outside of the resort)
  • Explore the property! Stop and chat to staff and guests
  • Refrain from booking any transportation on your own, please contact Soulshine Guest Happiness and they will arrange transportation for you
  • Dispose of litter properly
  • Drink only bottled or filtered water. Tap water is non-drinkable/non-potable in Bali.
  • Opt for alternatives to single-use plastic
  • Use Soulshine property responsibly
  • In order to respect other’s privacy please coordinate with Soulshine management in advance if you have a professional photo session
  • The pool is reserved for adults. There is no lifeguard on duty. Please note posted swimming pool rules and enjoy pools and the waterslides at your own risk
  • Beverages brought to the pool area should not be in glass containers

Venue Waiver

The Guest understands, accepts and agrees that the Retreat Venue has the right to remove guests for any Guest conduct that violates their terms and conditions. The Guest understands, accepts and agrees that the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, representatives, and contractors are not responsible or liable for any decisions made or actions taken by the Retreat Venue and will not refund Guests under any circumstances.

Media Release

By making the initial payment, the Retreat Guest consents and agrees that the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, representatives, and contractors have the right to take photographs, videotape, or digital recording of Guest before, during, and after the Thriving Feminine Retreat Bali March 6 - 13, 2027.

The Guest consents and agrees to grant the Organizer and any of its subsidiaries, affiliates, successors, licensees full global irrevocable right and permission to use these for purposes including but not limited to marketing, advertising, promotion, social media, educational content, and any other lawful business purpose, in any and all media, now or hereafter known and to exhibit this work in print and digital/electronic form publicly or privately. The Guest consents and agrees that their name and identity may be revealed therein or by descriptive text or commentary. The Guest waives any rights, claims, or interest they may have to control the use of their identity or likeness in whatever media format is used.

The ​​​​​​​Guest understands and agrees that there will be no financial or other remuneration for any recordings they appear in either at the initial recording or subsequent transmission or playback. The Guest understands that neither Organizer nor the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, representatives, and contractors are responsible for any expense or liability incurred to Guest as a result of participation in this recording including medical expenses due to sickness or injury incurred as a result.

Record Retention Policy

The Guest consents and agrees that the Organizer has the right to hold documents, information and data acquired or shared before and during the retreat for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes of this Agreement and comply with applicable legal obligations. The Organizer will use commercially reasonable measures to safeguard such records against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. Such records will be maintained by Organizer in a format of Organizer's choice (print or digital/electronic).

Limited Liability

Except as expressly provided in this Agreement, the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, representatives, and contractors make no guarantees, representations or warranties of any kind or nature, express or implied with respect to the retreat and guidance services agreed upon and rendered. In no event shall Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, representatives, and contractors be liable to the guest for any indirect, consequential or special damages. Notwithstanding any damages that the Guest may incur, the Organizer and the Organizer's employees, officers, sponsors, partners, interns, agents, representatives, and contractors entire liability under this agreement, and the guest’s exclusive remedy, shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the Guest to the Organizer under this Agreement for all Retreat and guidance services rendered before, during, and after the Retreat Term.

Severability

If any provision of this Agreement shall be held to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable. If the Court finds that any provision of this Agreement is invalid or unenforceable, but that by limiting such provision it would become valid and enforceable, then such provision shall be deemed to be written, construed, and enforced as so limited.

Waiver

The failure of either party to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver or limitation of that party's right to subsequently enforce and compel strict compliance with every provision of this Agreement.

The waiver by the Organizer of any breach by the Guest of any provision of this Agreement will not be taken to be a waiver of any further breaches by the Guest.

Applicable Laws

This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without giving effect to any conflicts of laws provisions.

Arbitration

Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the breach of this Agreement shall be settled exclusively by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules or by the International Center for Dispute Resolution when applicable.

Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire Agreement between the parties and replaces any and all prior agreements.

    Counterparts

    This agreement may be signed in any number of counterparts, each of which is an original and all of which, taken together, constitute one single document.

      Online Agreement

      Guest and Organizer agree that this Agreement may be signed electronically or agreed to by electronic signature, typed signature, or clicking “I Agree” (or something similar), and will be regarded as the same as if the Agreement was signed by hand.

        Agreement

        I, herein stated as the Guest, have read the above Retreat Agreement and Media Release and fully understand, accept, and agree with its contents. I am legally able to sign and voluntarily agree to and accept all text stated above via digital authorization immediately after booking my Retreat reservation and making the initial payment.
